Chelan Fresh is proud to represent the growers from Columbia Valley Fruit, Borton Fruit, and Gebbers Farms as part of the Chelan Fresh family of farmers.
3-APPLE A DAY PLAN
In an attempt to help one of her clients get more fruit into her food plan, registered dietitian Tammi Flynn suggested that she eat an apple before every meal. The woman returned shortly thereafter to be measured, saying she could feel changes in her body. Turns out, she had lost one percent of body fat in only one week! When Tammi applied this to a group of people, she found that they lost three times the amount of weight than before. So she incorporated three apples a day into the meal for a fitness contest. And the rest is history – 376 people lost 6,312 pounds in 12 weeks. And the 3-A-DAY PLAN was born.
NFL FUEL UP TO PLAY 60 PROGRAM
We are proud to be part of this in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by National Dairy Council (NDC) and National Football League (NFL), in collaboration with United Sates Department of Agriculture (USDA). Through are marketing partner, Chelan Fresh, we have joined the movement to support the promotion of this program, empowering students to eat healthy and be physically active.
GEBBERS CATTLE
Currently in its 4th generation of ranchers, Gebbers cattle raises top quality Angus beef in Brewster, WA. We use the best genetics to breed superior carcass traits into our herd. Our genetics contribute to an increased marbling percentage, meaning customers will receive high-quality, tender, and flavorful beef. Our goal is to provide our community and surrounding areas with the opportunity to consume safe, healthy beef raised and processed on a local ranch, by trusted growers who wish to inform their customers about where and how their product is raised.
